A Double Dose of Wedded
Bliss!
A Dudley woman recently celebrated the wedding
of both her daughters, at the same time, to two cousins!
Emma McConnell and her sister
Nicola McConnell celebrated their nuptials to Martin Paelini and
his cousin Kin Lami respectively with a double wedding followed
by a reception at the recently refurbished Walsall based County
Hotel as their mother, Mrs McConnell explains:
“I have always been familiar
with the County Hotel but I had never actually held an event there
before. The owner Ray Gilbert was extremely helpful throughout,
he really did bend over backwards in order for us to create the
day we wanted.”
After the ceremony, which took
place at a local church, 82 people arrived at the County for a sit
down meal, Mrs McConnell comments: “For the meal we wanted
it to be special.
“I had previously spoken
to Ray about the dishes and he was happy for us to alter them as
much as we wanted in order for it to be perfect. In the end, the
menu was a mixture of three!”
“The suite looked beautiful
and as soon as we entered the hotel, Ray took control and made sure
the whole day went without a problem.
“Once everyone was seated
Ray introduced Emma and Nicola and their respective husbands for
the first time as Mr and Mrs, it was a lovely touch and made both
couples feel special. Throughout the meal Ray made sure everyone
was comfortable and happy, introducing all the speeches, the cutting
of the cake and the first dance. It was very much appreciated, as
we were really able to enjoy the day.”
As Mrs McConnell concludes:
“Everything was perfect, the County Hotel went out of their
way to help us create the day Emma and Nicola had wanted.”
